This week’s update pays tribute to Ka’Deem Carey’s historic performance against Oregon plus some rivalry ribbing.
Have you heard the one about ASU? Actually there are a bunch of Sun Devil jokes around the internet and now you can find them all in one place.
Here are all the updates to the record book section:
Rushing Yards, Career
Congratulations to Ka’Deem Carey, Arizona’s all-time leading rusher!
Rushing Yards, Season
With the 206 yards versus Oregon, Carey now owns the first and third seasons on the chart. He needs 44 more yards to pass Trung Canidate’s 1999 season as the second best in school history.
Rushing Touchdowns, Season
Carey’s four-spot on Saturday gave him 16 rush TDs on the season, tying him with Kelvin Eafon for the third highest all-time.
Rushing Yards, Game
Ho-hum, another record for Ka’Deem. His fourth career 200-yard game broke his tie with Trung for the school mark.
Rushing Touchdowns, Game
Number 25 is the second Arizona player to score four rushing touchdowns in a game twice in the same season (Art Luppino in 1954) and the first to score at least four in a game three different times.
Rushing Yards by Quarterback, Season
B.J. Denker amassed 102 rushing yards against Oregon to extend his UA record. He needs 189 more yards to become to first Arizona quarterback to gain 1,000 on the ground in a season.
Pass Completions, Season
A passing list! A passing list! Denker’s 19 completions against Oregon gave him 201 for the season, good enough for eighth place in UA history. He needs 39 completions to pass Jason Johnson for seventh place.
Uniform Combination Database
With the all-reds winning for the first time there is only one combination that has been used but has never won: the Red-White-Red combo worn for this year’s Washington game.
Saturday’s contest will feature a new ensemble as the copper helmets are used on the road for the first time:
